Terms of Use of the “MEDION Service Community”
Effective: August 2025
1. Scope
These Terms of Use apply to private use of the “MEDION Service Community”, a platform provided by medion GmbH for communication and exchange about MEDION products, services and related topics. No sale or contract is concluded through the Community.
2. Participation & Services
- Use is free of charge.
- Viewing posts is possible without registration.
- To post, comment, rate or send private messages, free registration is required.
- Users are responsible for their own technical requirements (e.g. internet connection).
3. Registration & User Account
- Private, non-commercial use only.
- Minimum age 16; under 16 only with parental consent.
- Required fields at sign-up: name, email address, username.
- Multiple accounts are prohibited.
- Account details must be kept up to date and must not be shared.
- Legally relevant notices from medion GmbH will be sent via the platform or by email.
4. Member Rights
Active members may be assigned levels based on activity. Assignment is at MEDION’s discretion; there is no entitlement to any particular level.
5. Data Protection
- Processing of personal data is governed by the GDPR.
- Details of data collection, use and storage are provided in the Privacy Policy.
- Your rights to access, rectification, erasure and objection apply.

6. Usage Rights
Users retain all rights to their content. By uploading content (text, images, videos, etc.) you grant medion GmbH a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence solely for the provision and improvement of Community services. This licence ends when the content is deleted or removed. medion GmbH may technically adapt content (e.g. create thumbnails or enable streaming).
7. Conduct & Obligations
7.1 General Obligations
- Keep login credentials confidential and change them regularly.
- Report any account misuse immediately.
- Do not impersonate others.
- Only post content for which you hold all necessary rights.
- Technical manipulation or disruptive scripts are prohibited.
- Commercial use (advertising, bots, scrapers) is forbidden.
- Uploading malware or infected files is strictly prohibited.
- Do not conceal the origin of content.
7.2 Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted:
- Violation of copyright, trademark or personal rights
- Violent, pornographic, discriminatory or youth-endangering material
- Content that may damage or tamper with software or hardware
- Confidential or secret content
- Pyramid schemes or spam
8. Moderation & Sanctions
- medion GmbH reserves the right to review, edit or remove content.
- For breaches, MEDION may:
- Issue warnings
- Delete posts
- Temporarily suspend or permanently deactivate accounts
- Members may report violations via the built-in reporting system.
9. Amendments to the Terms
- Changes will be announced by email and/or within the Community.
- Continued use constitutes acceptance; you may be asked to confirm acceptance.
- An archive of previous versions is available for review.
10. Final Provisions
- German law applies.
- The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of medion GmbH.
- If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
