Problem with the DVD functionality of DVD Medion MD30549DE-S LCD HDMI

Hi!

I've just got this amazing product. It's been used a bit.

But here is the problem. On the original remote control, only some of the buttons work (mainly, the most important ones, like the volume and power off... and that's basically it).

The problem starts when I try to run a DVD disc, which loads normally and plays... but the play button does not work on the remote.

None of the button actually works when the DVD disc is loaded into the TV. Even the power-off button.

I can only use the buttons on the side of the TV, but there is no 'enter' button, so I can only select up and down in the DVD film, and I'm not able to actually play the disc..

I tried to search in the TV settings, by using these painful side buttons. Resetting the TV to the original settings does not change anything.

Here is the MSN on the remote: 40028215.

Every button signals blue light when pressed.

The DVD functionality would be used by my wife, who likes to watch religious, Christian - Catholic films (me as well)...

.. is there any fellow soul to help?

Hi @Mociek ,

 

have you tried factory settings reset?

 

Function menu - > Reset (Reset all settings to the initial status. All presets are deleted)

Yeah, I mentioned it in the original post,

I tried it, but it did not change anything.

Hi @Mociek ,

 

there is a small possibility of an issue with the remote control, since the problem is intermittent.

 

is the product in warranty still?

Hi,

No, not the pilot, and nor the TV is on warranty... for years.

It's difficult to understand how it could be broken that way.

It's in  a perfect physical shape.
