Hi The response from Medion after sending the dead laptop to them was: "Thank you for contacting us. After assessing your unit we require a motherboard for the repair unfortunately the part is unavailable" I had never used Eco Mode for the battery, never used it on battery as only lasted about 40 minutes playing games, my laptop was used in an office, plugged in to the AC adapter or at home plugged in to the AC adapter. Thanks for the information though for others to try, but I would not advise people to dismantle the device if it is still under warranty/guarantee as this may void it.

@daddle I went from being sad to happy when I was offered a newer model to replace the older one. Well done Medion, this is why I have been using you for the last 8 years.

@daddle They found the motherboard had failed, and did not have a spare, so they replaced the entire computer with a different one, and sent my drive back with it so I could recover my files

Hi @daddle I phoned Medion UK support today, and they are collecting the laptop tomorrow. The shop where I purchased it were happy to deal with it, but this would mean sending it to them to send to Medion, and the return trip would be through them. The said I will get it back sooner, if I deal with Medion directly. The laptop was completely unplugged while I was away, so nothing was plugged in to the laptop to cause an issue. Nothing updated, I just shut it down at night as I was leaving at 7am, unplugged everything and moved to a different room so not on display if anyone looked through the window. Thanks again for all the help

@daddle The retailer explained that it is quicker to raise the service call with Medion, but my MSN does not exist according to the medion site so I cannot do this

@daddle The laptop doesn't have a service hatch unfortunately, and doesn't turn on which is my key problem so no bios, no fans, no screen to leave on, it would take months for the battery to run down on its own, thanks for the help.

@daddle The battery is internal, and as I said it is still within guarantee/warranty so I will just report it to the shop where I purchased it tomorrow, rather than dismantle a £2500 laptop to check things. thanks

@daddle thanks for the reply I have 2 chargers, one in work and one at home, I retrieved the second one from work to make sure it wasn't the power supply and tested both with a multimeter. I think the chances of 2 power supplies blowing in 2 locations simultaneously is very slim. The power socket and pin are solid on the mother board, it is ony 13 months old so will start a warranty return from where I purchased it. I was hoping someone might say something like "Hold power, fan boost button and F12" and something magical might happen. lol Thanks

Hi My Erazer Beast X30 PC doesn't start anymore, I have been away for 3 days, which is the longest time it has not been used since purchase. With the power supply plugged in the charge light does not light or flash While I tap on the power button : - The power led lights up white for 25 seconds - No fan noise, nothing shown on the PC screen - After 25 seconds the keyboard backlight turns on for 1 second then keyboard and power buton lights turn off automatically. What I have tried: Keeping the POWER button pressed for 30 seconds, but it doesn't help 😕 Pressing the power button once, and when the button light is white, then pressing and holding the power buton, this just turns the light on the button off after about 13 seconds. I have 2 power supplies and both have the same result, and both have 19.5v at the tip shown using a multimeter. What can I do? Thank you in advance for your help, Nigel

Hi Thanks for the reply, I should have added Drivers and Software, so the control centre doesn't work from the download page and and the soundblaster cinema+ 6 I saw in another thread. I am just saying when I go to the Beast X30 page these should be listed as downloads and working, including any prerequsites like C++ libraries. Yes the drivers update from windows, but this is not the software for the drivers, and anyone who needs to format and reinstall will not be able to get them, without searching here. Thanks

I have an NB ERAZER BEAST X30 MD62452 UK - MSN: 3003 3995 It has been reformatted and all partitions wiped. When you go to you driver page there is only one driver to download, which doesn't work, so someone pointed me to the X25 one instead which does work. On another thread someone is asking about Soundblaster 6 driver as this was next on my list to try and fix, and there is a link to a driver on the Medion CDN. So why are all the available drivers not listed for people to download? https://cdn.medion.com/downloads/software/14_Soundblaster6_BeastX30_1122.zip I cannot find a list to look at, so cannot download anything, it shouldn't be you need to ask to get a link to a driver. With my old Medion X7849, I was able to download all the drivers and now there is only the same option as the X30 of control centre only, when again there was about 15 drivers and apps to install on the old site, and I believe this would be the same for X30 as the soundbaster is number 14. If people are willing to spend £1,000's on your product, you should give us the drivers we need and stop relying on recovery partitions, when people want to upgrade and reformat drives. Thanks

Hi and thanks, I have installed so many C++/net framework and all windows updates, as many direct X and other redistributable packages as I could find and still just blank. I don't think it would be hard to say with the download that it requires something to run correctly, instead of users just guessing. Thanks for the help

My X30 has been reformatted and Windows 11 Pro installed by my workplace. The only software available to download is the control centre. I obviously want to use this to customise the laptop. RGB Key lights etc. When I open the control centre all of the options are either empty or blank. I have downloaded the latest version, uninstalled and reinstalled. Still the same: Control Centre UWP App MEDION ERAZER Beast X30 Version: 3.33.27.0 thanks
