Ik heb hetzelfde probleem met hetzelfde toestel. Na contact met Medion Service blijkt dat er geen onderdelen meer voorhanden zijn voor dit type en ook geen vervangmodel. Niettegenstaande het toestel nog binnen de 36 maanden garantie (bij Aldi aangekocht) valt, stelt men voor om het defecte toestel op te halen en een deel van het aankoopbedrag terug te storten (208€ voor een toestel met nieuwwaarde 449€).  Dus door het feit dat Medion hier geen stukken meer voor heeft (en ook geen gelijkwaardig vervangtoestel) wordt ik verplicht om voor 208€ ergens een gelijkwaardig toestel te proberen vinden. Hi @Major_ToM    actually , that was the first thing I tried (multiple times now) and it always ends with the same message:  (message actually in Dutch, but I translated it to the best of my ability)   "Troubleshooting finished Troubleshooting could not be completed by an unknown cause. Please check your internet connection and try again in a few minutes (0x80070005)   Windows can't be activated on this device. Please contact support for help   You can activate this device by going to the Microsoft Store and buy an legitimate copy of windows there"   and then a button to go to the Microsoft Store   When I click on that button it brings up the Microsoft Store and it states (always in Dutch, so I translated again) I have a non-legitimate version of Windows 10 Home and presents two buttons: "Upgrade to Pro"    (which I do not want to do) "Become a legitimate Windows 10 Home"   (which actually does something in the background; circling dots showing for a few seconds and than shows this page again)   Hope that sheds some light on the issue... ... Hi @Major_ToM , just got a reply from the helpdesk with instructions: Open a CMD window and execute:  slmgr.vbs –rearm and wait till the process completes and try to activate again.. will do that first now and keep you updated on the result ... Mehr anzeigen

@Major_ToM  ,   just answering the questions that are asked at first boot (country, language, ...). Then I logged in the first time using a Microsoft account (not a local account). Then I spotted the error (on the desktop background) which made me look at the activation menu , where I found the error ... Mehr anzeigen

Hi @Major_ToM, got the same problem: bought a new laptop 2 days ago (MSN: 30030922) model MD63780 E14304. After first boot and some basic first-time setup, got the error that Windows could not be activated (error code: 0xC004C008 : productcode has already been used on another device). Product-id: 00356-02315-41675-AAOEM Productcode: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-D3XCY   I already created an online helpdesk-ticket at the medion-servicedesk, but did not yet get any response (except for a confirmation-mail to state that they logged my ticket) ...
