Hello Els, we are some years later but after working more that 1 full day on it (in parallel with other work), I found the solution !! I had the same problem as you to update the BIOS. I reinstalled windows 7 but on another partition as the C one . You must prepare an empty primary partition for that and choose this partition when installation process will ask. Be careful to not do a mistake otherwise you will loose your original OS (Win 10 I suppose and all its updates ). Note : all my data are on another partition than the C one ( a logical partition). When you install another Windows version in addition to the current one, the installation process will automatically configure your pc in dual boot. So no fear to loose W10 and all the updates. And then THE very important point after you started your laptop with Win 7 : you must right click on the A24MD.301.EXE file and choose "run as adiministrator" even if you are already logged as administrator. You will find back the A24MD.301.EXE file you download under W10 on the drive/partition where w10 is still present. Have fun !
