hi @ElPadrino47 and @wRatte    take a look at this response and let me know if this goes some way in solving your issues: Normally You should get a message in Windows when a new Thunderbolt 3 device is connected. With this message you  can grant access to the device, and Windows automatically installs the correct drivers.   But from your question of the I understand that you do not get any message at all. It is also strange that no Thunderbolt device is found in the device manager. Maybe the Thunderbolt drivers aren’t correctly installed with the customer. Could you confirm that the described process to dim and set the back light does not work on your machine? 17.9. Backlight You can use this function to set the display backlight: − Dim the display in standby mode or operating mode after a set time − Brightness of the display Set timeout  Select Timeout: and select On, 10, 20,30, 45,60, 90, 120 or 180 seconds by turning the OK rotary dial. Display Power-on Level  Select Power-on Level by rotating and then pressing the OK rotary dial, and set the desired brightness level to High, Medium or Low. Display Standby Timeout  Select Standby Timeout: and select ON, 10, 20,30, 45,60, 90, 120 or 180 seconds by turning the OK rotary dial. Hi @Andissace  Thank you for your patience, I have the following info  in a nutshell: ECS made things quite complicated with this motherboard If you have Revision 1, you might might use Bios version V 2.15, but you have another version of the H81 motherboard then it´s possible  that there are two further option  (like V 3.x, or V 4.0x) Unfortunately there is no indicator on the board. Do you know which version of BIOS you had installed prior to your failed update? If we cannot identify it further and if you try the above BIOS and it fails again, then your next option is an out of warranty quote or sourcing a working motherboard and replacing it yourself. There is a possibility that a hardware fault of some sort is causing the issue. we can of course take care of this as part of our out of warranty support and give you a cost estimate.
