Hello, a couple of days ago I was able to get a deal on the following PC: Microstar PCC499-M55 P6401 D
It has a Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB of RAM and a RX 480.
However there are some specs that I couldn't find. I was able to find out the motherboard model, MEDION P2A4-EM, but not it's specifications. I want to know how many SATAs it has, in the bios I count four ports, which may be not enough for me, so that leads to my next question, does it have any extra pci-e in case I need to add a pci-e to sata converter?
The bios has a pretty ancient look, but as long as it's updated there is no problem, is there a page where I can find bios updates for this board?
And my last question is about the warranty. I read that if I open the case, the warranty is void, is that true? Even if it's to add a SSD or something?
I got medion p5360 which got integrated graphics card HD graphics 510. I bought Geforce GTX 1050 2gb, but i cant use it, cuz when im installing it, monitor shows no signal, and i hear 5 short beeps. I think computer is starting, but i cant see it, obviously. I tried with my older graphic card which i had installed in my old pc, but it was the same result - 5 beeps and no signal on screen.
I tried reset bios, didnt work. Tried disable integrated card, didnt work too.
Have u got ideas whats wrong ?
i5- 6402P 2,8Ghz
Medion Akoya P5360 E MD8881/2477
ps: fsp fortron source 350W
GPU: ASUS gtx 1050 2GB
RAM 8 GB DDR4
U can close this topic, cuz it;s started running. I don;t really know why. What i did was plug new monitor that just came to me dvi dvi into asus card, and it worked. No beeps, im installing drivers now.
I have been trying to upgrade my Medion Akoya p7618 Ram from 2 x 2 Gb ram to 2x 4 Gb ram
New ram is Crucila 4GB DDR3 L-1866 SODIMM 1.35V CL13, CT51264BF186DJ.
The Bios seem to regonize the ram as 8 GB. But thePC boots over and over again. I have this short message.
"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. WE´´ll restart for you". If you call a support person, give them this info:
Stop code: KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE
No problems when I put the old 2 x 2 GB ram
Any suggestions to solve my problem?
I have tried to boot into safe mode. I had the same problem.
I think it´s the Ram which is not compatible with the PC, although the store tells me, that it should be.
So I have ordered new RAM directly from Crucial now.
Then we will see how that going to work.
Thank you very much.
hello all problem of my own making, when upgrading to w.10 i'm asked if i need to format "D" drive i said yes this of course managed to wipe the recovery off & substuiting nfts?is that correct? but i need the recovery files.i managed to get windows7 back (a long process) but cannot get the medion programmes at all"D" drive should be in f.a.t. files for recovery as i understand it.is it possible to reformat & to attempt returning files to "D"drive say copying from another source such as laptop vista files or are they available elsewhere!
computer came with vista i upgraded to w7 which entitled to free w10 i made a shadow copy of w 10 but this corrupted causing the problems
I have the above mentioned PC with the following specs:
However I am currently upgrading my pc, having already fitted a i5 760 CPU, and upgraded the windows to 64bit so that i can use 8GB of RAM.
Yesterday, however, I installed 2x4gb RAM and when I checked the system information it said "8gb RAM installed, 3,99GB RAM usable"
I have tried to solve this but i think that the problem may be the BIOS of my motherboard.
Can anyone help me to use the full 8GB of ram?
Any help would be appreciated
I have solved the issue. There were 2 issues.
First, I removed my CPU and noticed that the socket had 3 or 4 bent pins. I used a small needle to bend them back into place. After that the I had no more "usable" ram indication. However the 2x4gb RAMs did not work. Only 2x2gb rams, or 2gb+4gb.
This was beacuse my 4gb RAMs were 1600mhz, and I have been informed that the MS-7708 Motherboard cannot support anything other than 1333Mhz.
I had a friend sell me his 2x8GB rams with 1333Mhz (even though I know my motherboard can only go up to 8gb total, but i eventually will change my motherboard, so I already have 16GB there to use) and now it states a full 8GB usable.
Thanks for your help everyone
hello i have several BSOD on win 10 ! comp several times just turn off and restart
where can i get bios update ? or what is the solution
I started my medion desktop MEDION AKOYA P7385 D (MD 8883) up and I got only NO SIGNAL message on screen.
I have tested it with an other monitor, sam result. I pluged power cable out, pressen on botton for 15 sec and powerd on again, same result. I have got battery bios battery for 5 min out and again in, same result.
When it was working after setting on fan began to work for a while and stopped and after that logon page on screen but fan keeps working with loudly sound and I get NO signa on screen. What's the problem with my computer? Please help
No signal usually points to a problem with the monitor, cable, or inside the PC with the motherboard or graphicscard. When you tested the other monitor, did you also use a different cable? If so, I'm afraid that either your motherboard or graphicscard is defective .
After upgrading the Ram in my P5018 D the unit will not boot, i've installed 16GB of ram, is this more then the mainboard can support or what could be the cause?
@Kev - Good morning and welcome to the Community!
The Mainboard of your PC supports a maximum of 16 GB DDR3-SDRAM (PC3-12800 / 1600 MHz) Single Channel Memory.
If you use memory modules with these specifications there should be no problem.
