Hallo allerseits,
Danke!
Der Doktor

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me either. App now shows in the Play Store but once installed & opened gets stuck in the splash screen. After a while the App terminates with an error and restarts.

For us it works fine, even for hours. Videos just play and play...
We see two strange things, though:
1) For a new app install Netflix does indeed appear to hang in the splash screen for a while. It seems to initialize or download stuff. After 30-60 seconds the spinning red circle appears and the app moves on. Maybe you need to wait a bit longer?
2) In the sign up/in dialog there is an option for new customers (create an account) that does not work. It jumps to the same page again and again. This also happens on non-MEDION devices, so it is probably a bug in the Netflix app or their back-end.
Maybe some more people can report their experiences with the latest P1050X image.
Best regards

I have the new netflix and the new update offandroid
Like you, i have tried everything. 1 out off 50 times it works.
My wife will kill me, if netflix does not work soon.
We will try our best to save your life. đ
I assume you have already tried all the steps recommended by Netflix here and here and here (German) or here and here and here (English). That is, restart the app, clear data/cache, reinstall reboot. Did you also try restarting the router, walk closer to it or maybe connect to a different WIFI (neighbour or so)? Does your router have any special settings, such as a proxy that you need to go through? Limited bandwidth that might make an initial connectino test fail or hang?
If you don't mind the additional setup work then a factory reset might also be an option (I know, I know). We will do some more tests at the office. In the meantime, please post more experience reports (positive ones appreciated, of course).
Best regards
