LIFETAB E691X Firmware V2.8 (Android 7)

(Update 20.03.2018: Update für alle freigeschaltet.)

Helau allerseits,

I attempted to install this beta-update, but the installation failed...

What I did:

- tried to install the update, but there was not enough space available

- removed SD card (was configured as internal storage)

- did a full reset on the device, this worked... continued the installation configuration

- after completion, tried to install the update again

- download went ok apparently

- but when the installation started (reboot), the "Android Recovery" menu is shown

- it complains about a file EMMC:/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11120000.msdc0/by-name/boot:7665664:e4e2735b891bfee63bf6aa462bb4a201d32a256:8339712:bf63c40c5710ab48b87d23bdc583958dc4fb9527 has unexpected contents.

(note copied this by hand, give me some slack 😉 )

Update.zip is not correct

Installation aborted.

OTA failed! Please power off...

After rebooting the device starts normally, obviously without the update installed.

Thank you.

I suppose the date would be

Wed May 17 13:31:54 CST 2017

correct?

Have you flashed the device to version 1.24 or did you get there through OTA updates from an older version?

@Mimas, yes that is correct.

If I remember correctly, this was the firmware that was installed on the device when I purchased it (new), back in September 2017.
