Hi @cowboyspeedy , welcome to the FORUM!
Do you have the MSN number of your Akoya?
It is an eight-digits number printed in the label underneath your product.

Hi @cowboyspeedy,
please try to do the following:
Switch off the notebook
Insert your USB stick into the left rear USB port.
Press and hold CTRL and PAUSE/Break keys.
Keep the keys pressed and switch the NB on
As soon as the Medion logo appears, release the keys
If it does not work you will probably have to use the Bitlocker recovery key.
Please refer to Microsoft website here to get more information on how to do so.

Gehringer

Hi @cowboyspeedy,
Indeed I thought it had only a small chance of working because the encrypting tool is built exactly as a security measure to avoid anyone without the key to access and perform any changes in the system.
Unfortunately I think that your best options are to either find the key or try to contact Microsoft to see if they can help you recovering your key.
You could also change the motherboard of your notebook for a new one, if available in stock, but your data will be lost.
If you sort it out, please let us know what you have done so other users can benefit from your solution.
PS: NB is notebook, so "switch NB on" means "switch notebook on".

Gehringer
