need help on X7825 version -- To be filled in by OEM but theres no stickers

Version ID says...Filled in by OEM

Hi ive had my medion erazer X7825 for 4/5 years now and i do love it but i bought it from EBay and it had no identification sticker on back. I want to intall the latest version of the bios as i tend to get some mouse ghosting on touch pad and i believe a bios upgrade will solve that and just i want to make the system up todate on all aspects ...ive been on the medion website and its asking me for my version of the x7825 so i went into the system info and says To be filled in by OEM. Below is the information of my MB from SPECCY

Is there any way i can get my version so i can utilise and the download latest drivers and bios for my laptop.

Please help im at the end of my tether and been looking for solutions for such along time now

I was suggesting a simpler procedure.

Hi @Boroboy1986 ,

 

do you have W10 installed at your machine?

If so, then you can try to update your firmware from there.

Hi I do have it installed and have been going through the folders, some are older drivers than i have and one or two are new drivers.

I opene file 510 but i dont know how to use it. I know its a flash utility but iwhen i press the exe file a dos command box openes and it just says "press any key" of which i do and it closes down. is there something im doing wrong.

Also i thought i needed the bios update to see what version my x7825 is but its still saying "to be filled in by OEM"

Hi have updated my laptop and its all fine now is there any other way? I have opend a Command box as administrator and typed

wmic csproduct get name identifyingnumber

I get ...... "to be filled in by OEM" and "X782X"

any other way of geting it?

Hi @Boroboy1986 , I am glad you could perform the updates.

 

Maybe  you can check what is your version by going to Medion service website here and typing "X7825" in the search bar.

 

You should get 3 different results, then you need to check how the specs provided compare against yours.
