Replace Medion Akoya E14409 (MD62157) SSD

Hello, I have a Medion Akoya E14409 (MD62157) laptop and I would like to upgrade the SSD drive to something with more storage. According to Windows device manager the current 128GB SSD is a "Neo Forza NSN095SA328-Y01Q1I0".

Can I replace it with any M.2 / SATA SSD? M.2 2280 for example? What's the maximum storage and are there any physical requirements to take into account?

Thank you!

Hi @hayolie ,

we officuially tested your AKOYA E14409 laptop  up to a SSD capacity of  max 256 GB (M.2 2280 SATA connct), but of course you also could try a bigge module in a PC/laptop workshop of yours to figure out 512 GB module
You will find the currend SSD module left to the housing fan like seen in this picture below.

Hope that helps

Dear @hayolie

please can you confirm the MS of this unit so we can fully identify and try and assist, as MD62157 was sold in several different countries with different specs.

thanks

Hello, i have the same model from the question above, but i just can't open the case at one side.

The part that gets stuck is the bottom closest to the screen hinges.

Do you have a video showing how you opened it? So I could copy the same way?

Thanks in advance

Hello @Betoedo and welcome.
You also have screws under the rubber feet.

Much appreciated!

I suspected as much, because it just wouldn't budge.

Thanks again
