P6815 Windows 10 upgrade broke DVD & Blu-Ray

Hi All

After Microsoft forced Windows 10 on my Akoya P6815 30014016, the optical drive can only read CDs, not DVD or Blu-Ray

I've tried everything Google has suggested, registry entries and removing registry keys UpperFilters and LowerFilters (the keys weren't present though), removing the drive in device manager and rebooting - nothing helps. Device manager sees the drive as aTSSTCorp DVDWBD SN-B063D and use the driver cdrom.sys v. 10.0.1904.1

If I put a DVD in the drive, and click it in explorer, the drive pops out and a dialog box asks me to insert a disk.

I have not ben able to find a driver anywhere on either Medion or TSSTcorp website

Help!

Rasmus

@RasmusD

How about the Language / geographical settings? Did you swap those often between USA, Europe and other regions, in total more often than 5 times?

If not, I would make a fresh Windows installation with the Windows MediaCreationTool.

Or try to remove the last Update.
