Medion E2216T, ladeanzeigelicht ist immer an

Hi,

Ich habe einen Medion E2216T, den mir jemand zur Reparatur gegeben hat. Ich habe bemerkt, dass die Ladeanzeige leuchtet, selbst wenn kein Ladegerät angeschlossen ist und auch wenn der Laptop ausgeschaltet ist. Der Akku war lange Zeit leer. Ich habe ihn mit einem Erhaltungsladegerät aufgeladen und das hat funktioniert. Außerdem habe ich eine Neuinstallation von Windows 10 Home durchgeführt.  Alle Divers eiber wurden von der Medion-Website installiert.

This model only has a sliding switch for the keyboard (active or inactive) on the right hand side.  Also on the right is the power putton SD slot, USB Port and headphone jack. 

On the left hand side adjacent to the power jack is a light. .  This is the light that is on all the time. Left hand side also has USB port and mini  HDMI Port

Used the laptop today on a 90% charge yesterday.  (emails, Web, Google Docs and sheets), Achieved 7 hours of usage and battery was at 33%. 

 Charged again to 100%.  Battery icon showed "charging".  But when i unplugged the charger the icon still showed as "charging".  Icon only changes to display "not charging" when rebooted

Nowhere in the manual it says the charging LED control must switch off or change color in spite of that is the most way the charging LEDs work.

 But it's good for quality; an eight year old Tablet Convertible  accumulator stays allright even after a discharge at zero for a  longer time. Not to bad for such a cheap device from 09/ 2016 for only 249,-€ at those days.

Device manager shows Intel Battery Management Device and Microsoft AC Adapter drivers as being installed. Intel Battery Management Driver is installed with the chipset update from Medion Site

Those driver are only to identify the devices, and allow the OS to recognize them. And to manage the battery icon in system tray.

But the charging itself is only hardware controlled and dependant on the state of charge, nothing else.
