Bought a Medion Akoya E2228T 3 days ago.
Installed all SW, updated Windows 10 with the latest updates.
After several reboots and sleep events the laptop suddenly failed to recognise the WLAN network card.
Network icon below right has a red cross on top.
Windows doesn't display any network adapters anymore.
Windows problemsolver just indicates: update network drivers, did this with the latest drivers from the Medion site. No change...
Did a reset of the network cards and drivers through Win10, no change...
Getting ready to bring the laptop back to the store...
Any bright ideas someone?

I fixed it yesterday and the below link has put me on the right path:
https://appuals.com/network-adapter-not-detected-in-windows-10/
Fixed it by:
Win10 is now reporting the portable as being fully secured AND the Wifi-drivers have continued to work for 48h.

Hi @achristi,
What do you mean exactly, the networkcard is not recognized, or you dont see any networks? Based on your post I assume that the WLAN card is visible in the device manager? Does the device manager give an error for the card or does it state it is functionning correctly?
And do you normally see multiple networks, from you neighbours for example? Or just your own? And do other devices work on your network?

Hi @Anu
Sorry if I wasn't clear. No, the WLAN card is not visible in the device manager.
It's like the physical WLAN button the laptop has been turned off, but this laptop doesn't have that physical button.
When running Windows problem solver (yes, that was a long shot) it says that the network card is not initiated properly.
I used to see multiple networks and had a decent stable connection in 2 different locations before this happened.
Other devices on these networks work fine so it's definetly a device issue...

Hi @Anu,
Just found this post:
https://appuals.com/network-adapter-not-detected-in-windows-10/
My gut feeling says the pre-installed anti-virus that I ran yesterday might have something to do with it.
I'll check it this evening...

Hi @achristi,
awesome, that it finally worked out. Always good news..
Just another tip:
If you receive a helping answer, it would be nice to mark you question as solved by clicking the approriate "Solution button" on the right underneath of the solving answer.
This helps other Commmunity users with similar issues to solve their problem faster, cause your initiated TOP is then marked as "already solved"
Thanks
