MEDION AKOYA P6670 (MD 99960)

Hi

After a failed bias update, the laptop won't boot up again.

Nothing appears on the screens at all.

Does anyone know what I can do to get it back to life?

Regards

Mark

Dear @Mark-

If you are getting a black screen and unable to access the unit in any way, and it looks like the latest version we have on our website version 2.09 I would suggest having the unit assessed by your nearest Medion service centre, or a qualified 3rd party technician of your choice to verify if the board has not bricked.

Thanks

Hi

Do you have the MSN number of your unit and the BIOS version you tried to update to? to identify

Was there a particular reason you needed to update the BIOS as not always necessary unless you have changed a hardware component.

I hope it has not bricked your motherboard.

You can try flashing the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery.

Thanks

BIOS updates generally don't boost performance, but they can fix bugs related to specific hardware or add compatibility for new devices. Motherboard manufacturers warn against updating your motherboard if your PC is working normally.

Hi

BIOS version: www1.medion.de/downloads/index.pl?op=detail&id=18408&type=treiber&lang=uk

I have tried removing the battery CMOS Unfortunately, that didn't help.
