Hi everyone,
I owe a Defender P50 NP70RND1 which has 2 x Foresee XP 2000 1TB SSD, so a total of 2TB.
As I am in need for more space for my photos and videos I was looking to upgrade at least one of them.
My questions here are:
- what is the max size that I can update a slot to?
- can I upgrade "uneven", i.e. 1 slot with 1 TB and the other with e.g. 4TB?
- do I have to change settings in BIOS?
- how do I know which bank has the C drive with the system installed?
- last not least as I am planning to keep 1 of the Foresee what would be your recommendation to pair it with?
Thank you very much upfront for your answers!
Any support is highly appreciated.

hI @MastaBlasta
Thanks for reaching out, some general answers for your questions regarding the P50
Max size per slot? No documented limit; bigger than 1 TB should work despite spec sheets
Uneven sizes permissible? Yes—slots operate independently
BIOS/settings needed? Typically not; NVMe should be auto-detected
Identify C: drive slot? Use Disk Management or boot-test each drive one at a time
Recommended upgrade pairing? 2 TB or 4 TB NVMe SSD (Gen3 or backward-compatible Gen4)
Thanks
