BIOS password reset Akoya Laptop E4271

My Akoya Laptop E4271 is showing a Enter Password after booting (blue box with Enter Password). How do I reset my BIOS password on this system?

Hi Akoya321,,,

do you still know the Bios password, so you could enter Bios? Or are you asking because you have forgotten your PW?  If yes, you can not restore it. You can try to install Windows completely anew.

Thank you for answering so quickly.
I've forgotten the BIOS PW. Thought the BIOS PW was separate from the operating system. If I have time I'll check if there's a jumper on the mainboard for this model tot performance a BIOS reset tot Factory defaults. Another workaround worth trying is to drain the BIOS battery.

None of it would have worked.  But one has to save the Bios PW at a safe and easy to recall place. And not forget  the safe location. 😁
