What is the maximum number of pixel errors allowed on my display?

Question

What is the maximum number of pixel errors allowed on my display?

Answer

Due to the manufacturing process, up to two pixel errors (distributed over the display area) are within the tolerance allowed under ISO standard 9241 (pixel error class II).

For example, a Full HD display with 1920 × 1080 pixels corresponds to 2,073 million pixels. For error class II, a maximum of two pixels may be permanently illuminated or permanently black. A maximum of ten defective subpixels (RGB basic colors that make up a pixel) may be present.

More detailed information can be found here: What do I do if there are pixel errors on the display? .

Please check the resolution of your display (screen) to see if the number of pixel errors is still within the specified tolerance range.
