x7853 sound problems

I have a strong feeling that a subwoofer is not working on my x7853. It doesn't produce any sound. Is there any setting to turn on/off subwoofer in the BIOS? And how can i test if subwoofer is dead?

Hi @alwaysfish

I don't know if it is possible to turn off a subwoofer in the BIOS, but I think you'll be able to test the subwoofer in Windows using the audio driver. I think your system is equipped with a realtek soundcard (to my knowledge most, if not all, Medion systems have Realtek audio), if so, you can start the Realtek HD audio config tool, it offers a test mode with which you can test each speaker individually.

Kind regards,
Bart
