Upgrade RAM on a Deputy P40

Hello !

I have a ERAZER Deputy P40 (MD 62551)
MSN: 3003 5597

I have 16 Go RAM with the stock RAM so 2x8 Go of SODIMM 4800 Mhz DDR5.

Can I upgrade to 2x16 to have 32 or even 2x32 to have 64?
I saw that some MEDION computers have a limit of RAM so I better be sure before buying new RAM.

Thank you for your help!
Have a good day

@Max45475

Your Deputy P40 takes a maximum of 32 GB RAM, (2x16GB)

The specs are:

2x 8192 MB DDR5 SO-DIMM (PC5-38400/ 4800 MHz) installed; (2/2 Slots covered; 32 GB max.)

Bye, daddle

Hello @Max45475 et bienvenue/ and welcome.
Your Deputy P40 is based on a Clevo V155RNDQ.

According to their clevo service manual, it should also support up to 64GB if the CPU supports it, and your i5-12450H can.

English:

Medion provides this value for the Deputy P40 in its intranet database. These values have been tested and confirmed to be working. This also applies to your computer with the Clevo Barebone V155RNDQ.

The values for the Medion derivative may have been reduced.

But one question: why would you need 64 GB of RAM? It costs a lot, consumes a lot of battery charge, and is only used in the rarest of cases.

@daddle
Yeah I will go with 32 GB. 64 was more out of curiosity but realistically I don't need it.
