SATA ssd in my Erazer P10 (MD34950)

Hi all,

Last week, I got the Erazer P10 and it's been running very good. It "önly" has 512gb of storage, and I need more storage for the games I wanna play. So my question is: can I put a SATA 2.5" SSD in here? Does it have a bay for that?

Happy holidays and thanks in advance!

Hi @m38920208

Yes, it's possible. Power connections are there; you might need a data cable (if one wasn't included).

Hello @m38920208 and welcome.

There's an easier way.

You have a 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD.

There's a second M.2 port for a SATA M.2 SSD on the motherboard.

@Fishtown I didn't know that, thanks! But the 2.5" are cheaper than the m.2 SATA's (atleast on my country's Amazon), so is a 2.5" still possible or is it not possible at all?

@Fishtown this is the cable that came with the pc. This is the cable needed for it, right?

Hi @m38920208

The cable is correct. It's a SATA cable with a safety locking mechanism.

Hopefully it's long enough.

Has your ordered SSD arrived yet?
