RGB lights

My laptop (crawler E10) was updated yesterday and right after restarting the keyboard lights were off. When I changed the color I noticed that only the blue color works. When I go to the settings the Dynamic lights says that no compatible device was detected. How can I solve this?

Hi @mourapin ,

Reinstall the RGB/Lighting Control Software

Your laptop likely uses "Control Center" or "ERAzer Control Center" to manage RGB lighting.

  • Go to the Medion support website:
    https://www.medion.com/gb/service/

  • Enter your model number (Crawler E10 or MD model code).

  • Download the latest version of Control Center or LED/RGB utility available.

  • Uninstall the old version if it's installed.

  • Install the new version, restart your laptop, and test the RGB controls again.

After reinstalling, open the software and check if all lighting zones/colors are back.

I've already reinstalled it and it didn't work. But I noticed that Windows no longer recognizes my keyboard as compatible as before. Although it's not active, Windows' dynamic lights are stuck on the blue color. It's the only one that works on my keyboard.

Hi @mourapin ,

Fully Disable Dynamic Lighting in Registry (not just Settings)

Even if it looks inactive in Settings, Dynamic Lighting may still override the RGB hardware.

Steps:

  1. Press Win + R, type regedit, press Enter.

  2. Navigate to this key:

    sql

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\hidlightservice
  3. In the right pane, double-click on Start → set value to 4 (to disable the service).

  4. Also go to:

    mathematica

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Lighting
    • Set or create EnableUserOverride to 0.

    • Set or create SystemEnabled to 0.

  5. Restart your PC.

This completely disables Windows Dynamic Lighting, including low-level hooks.

Uninstall Conflicting Windows Drivers

  1. Go to Device Manager.

  2. Expand:

    • Keyboards

    • Human Interface Devices

    • System Devices

  3. Look for anything like:

    • HID-compliant lighting device

    • HID Keyboard Device (especially any with suspicious driver dates around the update)

  4. Right-click → Uninstall device.

    • If you see a checkbox for "Delete the driver software for this device", check it.

  5. Reboot.

Let Windows redetect the keyboard. Your OEM software may now regain control.

Thanks but it didn't work. I'm going back to 23h2. Medion should solve this since I found several reports similar to mine without a solution.

There is no update for this laptop. No bios or control center. I really like this laptop but I'm starting to get disappointed.
