Look for a bit of help with my medion x6807 overheating when plugged in. I've had the x6807 for about 6 years but it's not been used alot.
I have the issue when the the power adapter is plugged in but not if I have unplugged. I've checked the fans and they are all clean and working, I've even unplugged the battery and still have the same issue when plugged in without battery connected. When plugged in I can hear how hard the fans are working within 10 minutes of powering on and feel how hot it gets until shuts down. When I run on battery alone no issues at all and can have on for a few hours with fans silent.
I have tried unplugging battery, plugging in a different power socket somewhere else, tried different power settings, fresh install of window, everything is up to date and also tried diagnose system and fix issues but all good.
Next option would be a new power adapter FSP180-ABBN3-M to check if that solves the issue.

Look if the power - entry socket ( there where you plug in the adapter into your pc ) is fixt and not loose.

Hello @weebilly and welcome,
In battery mode, the device operates at reduced power to achieve a longer runtime. In mains mode, however, you have full power and therefore more waste heat, which causes the fans to run. If they are running at full speed and are clean, but the device still overheats, I assume the waste heat is not being dissipated properly. This would be a sign that the thermal paste from the CPU/GPU processor to the cooler has dried out.
This prevents the heat from being dissipated properly. Consequently, it overheats.
So check the thermal paste.
