Medion Erazer P7651 - Slow USB detection

Hi all,

I've got an Erazer P7651 which for most of the time i've had it has had the following issue.

When inserting / removing anything from the usb ports it takes some time for the machine to recognize it.

The usb-c port seems to be quicker but it's not always convienient to carry around a hub for it.

I've reinstalled windows 10 with the ISO straight from Windows and not Medion. Looking at device manager it does show 3 unknown devices but it doesn't give any hardware-id's to go searching on the web for it

has anyone had similar issues with their machines?

Hi Springs,

Are you using windows 10 or 11? from your description, it does suggest a possible driver problem.

Most drivers now are distributed via windows updates.

How do I update device drivers? - MEDION Community

Thanks

It's still on windows 10.

I've gone through the driver updates and there is nothing to update / install.

I've also booted into a ubuntu live image and even that isn't picking up my KB / Mouse via usb
