MEDION P15811 Windows 11 graphics / drivers

Have changed my machine from W11 to W11

The graphics accelerator semes to a have installed itself as a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Ti, and downloaded all the Nvidia stuff,

            and in device manager,

the Nvidia shows up with error

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Any suggestions please,I cant seem to find a W11 driver pack for the P15811 on the medion site.

As we don`t support W11 on this unit, further diskussion is pointless.

Hello @drjohnsmith and welcome.
You won't find a driver package for Windows 11 on either the Medion website or the manufacturer's website, Clevo.tw, because the device was shipped with Windows 10.
Try the Medion Service app. https://www.medion.com/gb/service/service-app

Otherwise, delete the Nvidia drivers and reinstall the "old" drivers. https://www.medion.com/en/servicebackend/_lightbox/software_details.php?did=19553
Alternatively: Have you tried the Nvidia website? https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/drivers/

bye Fishtown

Thank you

   I'll give it another go.

Pity on lack of driver package for the laptop in w11, it is more than capable of supporting w11 very well, but I guess lthis is the risk one takes in not spending g a fortune on the laptop initially.

As I remember , I had a BSOD when the os updated, till it installed the nvivia drivers, and confusingly, the nvidia drivers give the error, but the normal graphics works,

It's a pity as it has stopped the video over usb c working.

@drjohnsmith

Check the Video setttings in Bios: Set it to dedicated Graphics only. No Hybrid mode, just in case your Proc has an integrated video chip as well.

Thanks for the links

The control centre does not run in w11, it says starting but never actually pops up.

.  The driver pack , calls up a dos shell , most of the installs come up pink , and do not install

The Nvidia web site drivers make no difference.

@drjohnsmith

Omg!  Read  your   manual. You'll find  it on the medion Service page. Enter the MSN number, or even the

MD number will do. Go to the page UEFI configuration!

Thank you for the kind support.

If you remember , the manual is for w10, and I'm on w11 with uefi .

I was wondering the difference as I know the bios protection is enhanced

I have from w11 used the gui mode to go into these new gui based bios ,

I have no video bios settings on this medion

Any chance you have some experience on these laptops ?

.I'm wondering do I need to change the bios , as this is dated 2019, the same as the manual date.

Entering the UEFI with Win 10 or 11 is a Laptop the same.

Edit:

If you call the Bios entry after POST, then there is no Wndows  loaded yet.  It's a basic function of the barebone, independently from any OS, which will be loaded only after.

Check every single menü and opening submenus, there should be video settings mainly wit I/O settníngs or under "Advanced"

For a new BIos you should open a new thread, and ask a moderator.

Did you check Firmware /System Update  in  Device Manager.

Thank you for clarifying the how to get into bios .

You say

Firmware /System Update in Device Manager.

Which device manager ?

The windows device manager is what the previous poster was talking about and I've reported back on how that went .

Is there another device manager you mean ?
