Erazer x40 i9 RTX 4080. Bios and update question

Hi,

I'm more used to computers that just update themselves and reboot, so currently slightly confused. I did find the appropriate bios update on the Medion site and downloaded the file i think I need the N1.10MED09. Sorry for the noob question but how do I get it updated on the machine itself?

I also downloaded the driver package and this looks equally difficult for me to understand. Please excuse my lack of knowledge. It's the most expensive laptop I've ever purchased and it seems much more difficult than the usual cheaper ones.

The bios file I think is the GMxIX9xN110MED09.rom

I just have no idea what to do with it, or how important it is that I bother changing it. If somebody could give me an idea I would be very grateful.

Thanks

It is an inf install. Decompress in a new folder. Right click on the inf file -> Install

This is mentioned if you should have clicked on the Info button.

The driver package only contains the drivers that were installed upon purchase.
But you also have these in a "Drivers" directory on another partition, D or E.

Bye, daddle

Thanks Daddle. I appreciate you taking the time.

I can see the inf file. I don't like the way they absolve all responsibility for anything going tits up. I assume though that this is commonly run without issue? I should note down all the current bios settings first I guess, just in case.
