Hello,
I have just bought the Erazer Recon P20 MD35361.
Here are its characteristics :
Graphics card: VGA PCP RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6
Processor: CPU Int I5-12400F 2,5GHZ 65W
Memory: 2 x 8 GB DDR4-SDRAM (PC4-25600 / 3200 MHz)Dual Channel Memory (2/2 Slots covered; 64 GB max.)
Motherboard: MB ECS B660H7-M20
Optical drive: w/o Optical Device
Hard disk:
Network: LAN -> MB;
Software: Preload System (Win 11 Home Plus 64Bit) - No Disc!
Components: * * air-cooled * Mouse USB GTech MA105U NB bk V3 *
Interfaces/Connectivity:
I/O Front:
I/O Rear:
I/O Graphic:
I/O Audio:
Power Supply System: 200-240 V AC / 50-60 Hz
Energy Efficiency Grade: -
I wanted to add storage memory. As I found an m2 socket slot, I bought a Samsung 980 PRO MZ-V8P2T0BW NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 2TB SSD.
The problem is that after I plugged it in, I can't find it neither in Windows nor in the Bios.
In Bios:
Advanced Tab, SATA Configuration: AHCI (there is no other option available)
Advanced Tab, NVMe Configuration (NGFF3): No NVME Device Found
Advanced Tab, Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology: No- RAID Physical Disks: PCIe 1.0, E15-512G-PHISON-SSD-B47R 476.9GB (this is the original SSD with Windows on it).
Interesting detail:
If I swap the positions of the original SSD and my new Samsung SSD, then it's the 2TB Samsung SSD that I find in the Advanced Tab, Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology tab. But then it is the original Phison SSD that no longer appears in the Bios, and the computer does'nt boot in more, because it no longer finds Windows.
Does anyone have an idea to help me connect an SSD to this second m2 slot, and especially to detect it ?
Thank you in advance for your answers !
Thomas.

Thank you for the answer.
This is not a good thing for me because I had paid 200 euros for this NVME SSD which is not compatible. I'll have to be more carefull before buying anything else.
I hope I won't make an other mistake. Here is my idea : I can format and take this SSD installed on an ACER Nitro AN517-51-59T laptop :
Western Digital - WD Blue SSD - 2TB M.2 SATA 3D NAND Internal SSD
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B073SBW3VD/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2CVHYRTWLQO9T&th=1
Can you confirm that it will be compatible? I wouldn't want to delete all my data for nothing !
I also hope that my new NVME Samsung 980 PRO MZ-V8P2T0BW PCIe 4.0 SSD will be compatible on the ACER Nitro AN517-51-59T laptop...
The good news is that apparently I can install a Wifi card on the third M2 slot, size 2230.
Can you help me choose the right model, so that I don't make another mistake?
I only see one notch on the slot, so I'm looking these three cards :
1) Intel WLAN-AC 9560 M.2 vPro Bulk
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07FDWCDMW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A19Y0A1QXJY9VU&psc=1
2) Intel Wireless-AC 9560, M.2 2230, 2X2 AC+BT, Gigabit, No Vpro
3) ASHATA Wireless Network Card, Dual Band 2.4G/5G Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless WiFi Card for Intel 9560AC NGW
I really don't know how to choose ! And can you tell me if it is necessary to connect an antenna to the WiFi card ?
Thanks in advance !
Thomas.

Hi @tomtom69
can't you exchange the ssd?
I can't say anything about the Acer, you have to ask there.
Yes, you can use an M.2 wireless card, but you also need antennas for it. Why don't you use a card with antennas, you have a PCIe X 1 slot.
for example:
https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0B45Z4ZFK/ref=syn_sd_onsite_desktop_69?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_plhdr=t&th=1
but you have to check first if there is enough space. your graphics card looks very bulky and takes up two slots.

OK thank you again.
There isn't a lot of space, but I hope it will be enough for the fan to turn correctly.
If it does'nt work, is there a solution to add an antenna with the M2 Wi-Fi card ?

Hello,
Thanks to Fishtown, I could connect this model of PCIe Wifi card with antennas:
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B0B45Z4ZFK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But I still don't have Bluetooth because I couldn't find a nine-pin plug for this connector :
Can anyone tell me where I can find the correct plug ?
Thank you,
Thomas.

Hi @tomtom69
you have to connect it to the USB port, see video:
https://www.amazon.fr/vdp/1b7cfd13e373465295b74e786a0adbdd?ref=dp_vse_ibvc0
here is something about your board and the M.2 WLAN card

Hi Fishtown.
Yes, thank you, I had seen this video.
Are you sure there is a nine-pin plug for this connector in the Medion Erazer P20 MD35361 ?

Hello @tomtom69
Unfortunately, I can't find a good picture and no manual with the names.
but every connector says what it is for. I think your picture shows the F-Audio connector. according to the database you have:
Internal connectors:
2 x USB3.2 Gen1 F_USB3.2 Gen2
1x Front USB3.2Gen2 F_USB2.0 1
these can be 9pin or 4pin.xxx
the 9pin is 2x usb. but you only need 1xusb.
take photos of all the connectors on the board, this will also help others if they have questions about the board (B660H7-M20).
