Erazer E40 GPU failure (replacement board) ?

Hi,

My erazer e40's (MSN30035598, bought it a bit over a year ago) gpu stopped working for some reason, it does not show up in windows' device manager, I tried DDU, I also tried a lpsci on a linux bootable drive, no results. What I haven't tried is a windows hard reset.
The laptop never had issues before but a few days ago it just wouldn't boot so I opened up, and pushed the battery plug into the motherboard as it seemed it came a bit loose. That did the trick, it booted again but now the fans won't stop spinning after shutting it down, they only stop when pressing the power button.

I took special care that the laptop did not overheat, it was not very dusty when I opened it and I bought a stand so it could cool better.
I also opened it up to add a 2TB nvme, but that was almost a year ago.

That's for the testing they want to do. In the original configuration. So if you still have the original SSD put it in and all will be fine-

If you put in a second SSD for more storage, it will not cancel warranty, because thats what the MB was built for, which you bought and paidfor.  . Incl. the right to extend memory, or put in a second SSD.

In which country do you live?

That's bad luck. In Germany I would argue, that exchanging the SSD for more storage capacity on the bootdrive happend long  agoa nd it functioned afterwars  ( if that's  the truth) .

And putting  a new drive in is part of the routine operatiosn which is basically allowed, eg for fitting in a second drive.

But first state the MSN Number of your laptop. It's on a sticker underneath.

The MSN is 30035598

I hope something can be done, this laptop is my main work station for uni, I need the GPU to run 3d modeling software

Where  ís the mounting place for the boot SSD? Did you have to take the GPU  card  out, to change the SSD?

Then it's a bit more difficult to claim your rights.

And please note, I am no Medion employee, but a user like you.

You have to argue with the  Medion service center in France, or  with the reseller where you bought your Laptop.

But first I would do a hard reset. Drivers are actaully on your drive you gave to your brother, but should be on the Medion service page as well. After checcking with Clevo home page, I will send you a PN (Medion mail) i Check your mail symbol.
