Display Issue Erazer Crawler E40

I'm currently having an issue with the display of my laptop, when I close the lid of the laptop and open it again it (could be right after I closed it or even a couple of hours, the time doesn't matter), the screen either displays really dark like this to the point where you can only see white colours or it won't display at all. Any reason why?

Not  a solution for you but to say this is also happening to me on an erazer defender P40. I have tried some changes to power functions, disabled any automatic brightness changing settings etc and all drivers are updated but still the same issue. Can't manually adjust it either, i just have to power down and reboot which is frustrating.
