Defender P15 notebook : is the 2.5 inch SATA bay functional?

The laptop is a Medion Erazer Defender P15 MD62294, MSN 30031897

Page 2 of the service manual says:

"The SATA Storage is a reserved design and not supported yet. For more detailed information, please contact your Sales/FAE representative."

However, the service manual gives detailed instructions on how to add a 2.5 inch SATA drive into the unused bay.

So, is it possible to add a 2.5 inch SATA SSD into the bay and for it to be used by the O/S? 

If not, why does the bay exist at all, together with instructions on how to use it?

Hi @Ticket ,

you´re absolutely right, the 2,5" HDD can´t be used with thismodel,but you can feel free to add another M.2 PCIe 3.0  SSD (2280 ) up to 2 TB.
