CPU Upgrade Medion Erazer X5336D Desktop

Hi,

I bought the Erazer X5336D Desktop a few years ago.

It has a 3.5 GHz, Processor family: 2nd gen Intel® Core™ i7, Processor: i7-2700K at the moment and I was wondering if I can upgrade the CPU?

Also if it's possible, what the highest speed CPU would be and what version etc.

Thanks.

Hello @Ashkevron and welcome in the Community.

The P67 chipset of your motherboard supports Intel 3rd generation processors. The fastest processors are Core i7-3770, i7-3770K and i7-3770S.
These processors have not been tested by us. Therefore we cannot guarantee the function.

Thanks Burki,

That's very useful to know. I appreciate the help.

I think that as the i7-3770 is about £300, I might as well put that towards a completely new computer instead 🙂

Thanks.
