Hi there!
So I'm typing for a good friend of mine who has a Erazer model from 2021 (ish), ever since he had it he has issues with the system rebooting every so often, though inconsistent.
After I did some troubleshooting a few days ago, I learned that this was probably caused by the BIOS as more with the same MB reported on this issue within this forum and that a BIOS update might solve these. So I tried to do it the normal way by getting an update from the MB manufacturer, which did not work, then I learned about the existence of OEM BIOS.. So that's why I'm here! 🙂
He has a MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard with BIOS version E7C79W0X.205

Could you please help?

@Major_ToMI saw your name popping up, providing links to BIOS update files. Would you be able to help me with this?
Thank you!

At a glance, it would seem I have the same specification as mentioned by @SerpNL and am also looking for a BIOS update.
I expect I'm experiencing the same issues as the OP, for me I get inconsistent BSOD's with messages like WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION and sometimes just a freeze and reboot... recently my monitor also started displaying CPU overheating messages (after freeze and at reboot).
BaseBoard Product: MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI (MS-7C79)
BIOS version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. E7C79W0X.205, 6/11/2021

Would be great if you (or someone else) could guide me and OP to a new BIOS version.
Cheers!
