Medion life + LED Panel NOT Google Home compatible

I recently purchased a Medion Life+ Led Panel. It says on the box and in their app that it is in fact Google Home compatible.

This is not true, as the Website linked for Medion Life + "pxy1.tuyaus.com" is dead and does absolutely nothing when linking it in the Google Home App.

Configuring the panel in the Life+ App went just fine although it was a bit tedious.

 

Considering the complaints of users with the smart plugs, this is not only an issue with the LED Panel but also with other products of the Medion Life + Branding.

Furthermore the Internet "guide" linked on the Instruction manual doesn't even exist anymore.

 

Selling this stuff as Google Home compatible is simply false advertising.

Can you please provide the MSN number of your Medion product?

It is an 8-digits number printed in the back of it, normally it starts by 300 or 500.

your photos show that this is not a Medion product, despite the fact that the connectivity is done via the Medion App. It explains why you can't find the MSN number on it.

 

I would recommend you to test the following steps to connect your panel to Google home:
- Go to Google Home, then
- Settings
- Assistant
- Smart Home Assistant
- Click on the + symbol
- Search for our LIFE app
- Add your mail address & password (without a blank space)
- Go and configure as you like to

 

If it does not work, I can recommend you to contact the manufacturer "Paul Neuhaus“ or the distributor "Leuchtendirekt.com"

thanks, but I have already done everything you told me.

Neuhaus Lighting took more than 2 weeks to respond. All they did was to send me the user manual which I already have. All in all very unhelpful and not aware that their own products are not working as advertised.

 

Are you guys aware that they are "stealing" your software?
