RAM Upgrade Akoya P4375D MD8880 fehlgeschlagen.

Hallo!

Kingston 8GB(2x4) DIMM DDR3 1333MHz CL9 (Kit 2 HyperX Fury blue (HX313C9FK2/8))

LG Alex

Hello again,

I have bought the memory mentioned in previous post and it works right out of the box!!!!!!

http://www.speichermarkt.de/hersteller/medion/desktop/md8880-akoya-p4375d.html

I have also changed my HDD to SSD  which also worked right out of the box using the tool that is included in the package.

The SSD i bought was Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E250 - Solid state drive - 250 GB

The result is that my old computer now is amazingly fast - so no new computer for me for the next 5 years.

Kind regards

Bo

Hallo @alex_sbg und herzlich willkommen in der Community.

Dein PC ist bereits ca. 5 Jahre alt. Hierfür existiert leider kein aktuelles BIOS Update.

Hello,

Sorry for writing in English, but my german is quite bad.

I have experienced similar problems and have tried several types of memory which all had the correct specifications. Has anybody had success with updating an MD8880 to 8GB RAM?

I am considering these RAM modules

but I am a little worried that they wont work, so I have to return them.

Replies welcome in german

Hi Bo!

Thanks for the update, good to have some positive feedback. I might try that RAM too.

I also have changed to a SDD (Cruzial) - was a bit tricky, not the best software but works fine now and really improved the pc.

Hi Alex,

Agree that the SSD alone is a big performance boost. So for around 100 € u can get a real boost.

My change to the SSD was really easy - maybe because i had used only 133 Gb on the HDD which could easily fit on the 256 GB SSD.

Kind regards

Bo
