Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 7-OC bios

I have this board and updated it to the GZ170W0X.124 Bios.
Works fine using dual core processor but will not accept the Intel I5 7500
Error 32 or error 62 on the LED display.

I understand it was orignally for Skylake cpu's and the I5 is Kaby lake but a bios update should allow the cpu.
I have been in contact with gigabyte uk and they said becasue its a Medion system the support will only be with Medion as it is an OEM motherboard.

Hi @Jayceemcg

What is the modelnumber or MSN number of the PC itself? And did you get the update from the Medion site?

It seems weird to me that such a gaming motherboard would be delivered with a Dual core CPU?

Is your powersupply sufficient to support the new CPU? Also when looking for the error code I see a lot of topics concerning memory as well, perhaps your memory is not compatible with the new motherboard?

Kind regards,
Bart

Hi, It came with a generation 6 i5 I believe.
I acquired the board in a deal with some hardware so I don't have the medion details.
I spoke personally to gigabyte UK and they said the board was oem and had to contact medion Germany.
Memory is fine with the dual core.
The memory works fine in an aorus board with an i7 7700k.
Thanks for the reply.
