BIOS Update for H81H3-EM2, Medion Akoya P2228 D/C037

Hello community,

I bought a new CPU (i5-4690K) to replace it with the old standard i3-4160. I was told that I needed to update my bios but I can't seem to find the right link to the biosupdate. The only link I can find is: https://www.medion.com/nl/service/_lightbox/treiber_details.php?did=13978 . But it says that the system is: Win8.1 64bit. But I have Win10 64bit

My MSN: 10021381

Windows Version 10

Desktop: MEDION AKOYA P2228 D/C037

Please help me

Hello @Gehringer,

I stopped researching and finding answers, I bought a hole new motherboard. The last thing I tried was downgrading my pc to Windows 8.1, since the bios update was for windows 8.1. But without success, so I just stopped everything with this mother board. And bought the ASRock Z87m Pro4. But answer to your question

-Version 2.8

-I can’t see it anymore cause I took my pc apart

-I instructed myself to update the bios because the cpu didn’t work and I saw a few posts from people with the same motherboard but with a updated bios version and their cpu (same cpu as mine) functioned correctly

-I already did but without success

Yes I know but I am keeping the processor and replacing the motherboard

Phum

Hi @Phum ,

since we are talking about a BIOS update, we need to be careful.

Can you please provide me further information?

- What is your current bios version
- What is your current motherboard version (use data from CPU-Z utility)
- Who has instructed you to update BIOS and why?
- Would you be willing to try swapping the processor without a Bios update?

If you buy the processor from websites that accept returns you would be even safer if something goes wrong

Regards,

Gehringer
