Flashing using a CH341A??

I have an Erazer Beast X25-MD and the BIOS is completely bricked...

I have downloaded the BIOS from a link supplied by @Major_ToM which I found here: https://community.medion.com/t5/ERAZER-Gaming-NBs/Bios-Update-MEDION-ERAZER-Beast-X25-V1-231/m-p/132448

Can I flash the ROM within the download to the BIOS chip after converting it to a BIN file using the CH341A? and if not, why not? or is there a better way to do this? the laptop is currently completely bricked, I explained in my previous post all the detail about the laptop and the events leading up to this.

If you open the F-bat with an editor, it says at the end before flashing begins:

@echo off
@cls
@echo WARNING: This utility will reprogram the whole SPI Flash chip which
@echo WARNING: includes system BIOS, TXE or ME firmware!!!
@echo WARNING: DO NOT continue unless you are 100% sure you want to do this.
@echo WARNING: To stop, turn off your computer and remove the update media,
@echo WARNING: or do not run THIS SCRIPT.
@pause

So I guess you could make use of it, and rename the rom file to a bin file

But to be completely sure you should wait for confirmation from @Major_ToM .

Hi @boi5643 and sorry for the late reply.
Yes, you start the update process by executing the F.bat file from the unzipped archive by right-clicking as administrator (in Windows environment).

Hallo Major, das war nicht seine Frage. Sein Rechner ist "bricked" und startet also nicht mehr, wie er schreibt. Dann dann kann er keine F.bat nutzen. In Post 1 fragt er ob das ROM im Download eine komplettes ROM ist, und er es in eine bin file umbenennen kann.

sorry for the first misunderstanding, I unfortunately have no product sample in hand, so that I´m only able to "assume, that it could" work.
Otherwise we would have to get the machine to the service center, what would end up in a cost estimate.

Please let us an the Community know, if you were successfull running the update manually.
