Hi @LarryDeskPlant ,

Here’s a step-by-step approach to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this issue:

1. Check for System Overheating

Overheating could be causing the fans to run at high speeds constantly. Ensure that the laptop’s cooling system is working properly:

Check the temperature of your CPU and GPU using a tool like HWMonitor or Core Temp.

If temperatures are too high (above 85-90°C), the laptop may automatically increase fan speeds to cool itself down.

Make sure the cooling vents aren’t blocked by dust or debris. You can clean the vents using compressed air.

2. Reinstall Erazer Control Center

Uninstall and reinstall the Erazer Control Center, as you mentioned you’ve already tried this, but let's ensure it’s done properly:

Uninstall the software through Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Restart the laptop.

Download the latest version of the Erazer Control Center from the Medion support website to ensure you’re installing the most up-to-date software.

Reinstall the software and check if the fan settings are now adjustable.

3. Check BIOS Settings

Sometimes, the BIOS settings can override software control for the fan speed:

Reboot the laptop and press F2 (or the appropriate key for your model) to enter the BIOS.

In the BIOS, navigate to the Power Management or Advanced settings and look for any fan control settings. Ensure these are set to Auto or Standard instead of a custom or high-performance mode.

Save and exit the BIOS, and then check if the fan speeds return to normal.

4. Check for Windows Power Plan Settings

Power plans in Windows can also influence fan speeds. Make sure your power plan is set to Balanced or Power Saver:

Right-click on the battery icon in the taskbar and select Power Options.

Choose the Balanced power plan or create a custom plan with the fan speed and CPU power limits you desire.

If you have specific Advanced Power Settings, ensure the CPU is not set to run at high speeds continuously, which can cause the fans to run at higher speeds.

5. Test in Safe Mode

Booting into Safe Mode can help determine if the issue is caused by a background process or software conflict:

Restart your laptop and press F8 (or use the Advanced Startup options in Settings).

Select Safe Mode.

Check if the fan speeds are still stuck in high mode. If they are not, the issue might be caused by a third-party application or driver that is running in normal mode.

6. Check for BIOS and Firmware Updates

There may be a BIOS update or firmware update available for your laptop that addresses this fan speed issue:

Visit the Medion support website and search for your specific model with MSN reference.

Download and install any available BIOS or firmware updates.

After updating, check if the fan control issue persists.

Kind regards

My Deputy P25 laptop seems to be stuck on entertainment or gaming mode as the fan speed will not go down below 85% or so, I have tried setting a custom graph on fan speed settings to make the speed as low as possible but it still won't go lower than 85% on each fan, I've tried deleting and re-installing control center but it still doesn't work. What should I do?
