    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For a couple of months I have seen a horizontal pink line appear on my screen, but not all the time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is not physical, not a scratch nor a damage to the surface of the screen. It appears for instance when the laptop is booting, when a photo is displayed or when I watch a video.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It does not apply when I browse, email or use my regular office apps like Word, Excel, etc..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I suspect it may be linked to a graphic card or component that is used only in such cases.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Where do you think it comes from and what can I do to fix this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Connect to an External Monitor&lt;/H3&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Test with HDMI or DisplayPort output&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the pink line &lt;STRONG&gt;does NOT appear&lt;/STRONG&gt; on the external screen → issue is with &lt;STRONG&gt;laptop display panel or its signal path&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the line &lt;STRONG&gt;appears on both&lt;/STRONG&gt; → issue is likely with &lt;STRONG&gt;GPU or GPU drivers&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;H3&gt;2.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Many thanks &lt;a href="https://community.medion.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/50418"&gt;@Igor28&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;for offering this diagnosis process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried an external display via HDMI : no problem there. The pink line does not appear on the monitor.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I tried deactivating the Nvidia graphics via the Nvidia Control Panel to use only the Intel integrated graphics : after rebooting the laptop, the problem is stilll present.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, according to your reasoning, the issue is with Intel GPU.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I downloaded the Intel Driver and Support Assistant. It found an update available for the Intel UHD Graphics, so I installed it.&amp;nbsp; After rebooting the laptop, the problem is still present.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So now I understand I need a full install of this new driver, as the update didn't suffice. I downloaded the DDU utility, but it is a bit technical process and I will need to make time for it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I'll keep you posted on that clean install but for now I wanted to share the progress I've already made so far.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
