ON OFF BUTTON

Has anyone had any trouble with the on off button on an Erazer laptop.

My laptop would not switch on so my expert friend had a look. Apparently the on off button is kept in place by a tiny metal disc and tape. He can fix this but the same problem will happen again.

Any thoughts?
