Hello, can I open the back lid of my erazer major x10 and clean the fans from the dust?

The computer MSN30034647 is not even a year old. Is there a problem with the temperatures or is it noisy?
You still have a warranty, right? so don't break anything

Thanks @Fishtown. Not really, neither noisy or with temperature troubles.

It is just a maintenance operation. I would like just open the back lid, hold in place the fans and remove some dust that i can see from outside trough the grid with a brush.

I attach a photo of the dust level...

However, please only use a soft brush that cannot become statically charged in any way. Otherwise you will have a problem.

I recommend compressed air (but never from a can).

It is important that you hold the fans firmly, otherwise they will start to spin due to the compressed air.

This “can” lead to damage to the fans and the electronics.

So you say that is better to clean with compressed air pushing firmly the center of the fans, exactly? but if not from can where am I supposed to take the compressed air? Thanks.

English is not my mother tongue, I may have expressed myself a little awkwardly.

So from the beginning:

Do not use compressed air from a can. Instead, use either an air compressor or a powerful blower. The latter is available quite cheaply from the big “A”. They are also suitable for cleaning other things.

The underside of the notebook must be removed for cleaning. Direct the air jet at the fans and through the fins of the heat sinks. While you guide the air jet with one hand, you should hold the fan with the other.

The fans must be held firmly so that they do not start to rotate due to the air pressure. That would not be good.

Thanks, since i don't have any air blower is it also good use a extrasoft thoothbrush paying attention to discharge it every 2/3 strokes?
