MD63645 microphone issue

Hi there, I'm having trouble with my inbuilt mic not working at all. I first noticed when using Zoom but when I go into settings and Test Microphone it doesn't register anything. I've tried a factory reset but still get no response - even when I select Realtek or System. Has anyone any ideas what I could try?

Hi @Fishtown, thanks for getting back so quick. I've tried the slider on and off but still nothing I'm afraid. It definitely used to work up to about a fortnight ago, I'm not sure what to try next?

was there a Windows update two weeks ago?

Look in the device manager, is there an exclamation point somewhere?

Hi @Fishtown, I think there was an update about 2-3 weeks ago. I've looked in Device Manager and there's no exclamation marks or any indication that there's anything wrong with the mic. I ran diagnosis on the Medion Service app and again it said all was fine. I've installed that driver package and it was succesfull with 7 out of 12. I'll paste the log on the end of this message. I restarted but still nothing from the inbuilt mic. Thanks again for your help - the mic on my headphones works fine if that's of any relevance?

Is the microphone activated under sound / settings / input device and entered as standard?

Try Settings / System / Sound / Troubleshooting

Do you still have Windows 10 S mode on or changed?

S mode is switched off.

The mic is enabled in Settings / Input device but i'm not sure what you mean by entered as standard?

I've ran Troubleshooting but it's not brought anything up, I'm afraid.

Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Recording

look to see if the microphone is entered as the default device under recording devices.
