I have called to the technical service because I upgrade the BIOS in the same computer model as you and the sound stop working... They told me that only have the BIOS software that you can find here:

I am interested in the original BIOS software to recover back the sound, as Kuro2. Can anybody help us?

I talked to the Spanish Medion team but nobody could give me any solution.

I wanted to update my bios so that I could enter in my linux distros (which 203 bios version seems to have blocked), and so I did.

I first experienced that sound wasn't working at all in windows and the laptop was overheating, but I magically could enter in my linux distros. I've tried everything with version 203 but nothing worked. I could return it to Amazon and take a new one, but I'm unable to enter my linux distros again.

I wish Medion would help us providing a correct bios version, because the listed one, which says 2.07, is indeed 2.09 and is not working fine. Please provide a valid bios update so that we can use our devices freely.

Yes! The link post here (https://community.medion.com/t5/FAQs/BIOS-updates-concerning-the-Meltdown-Spectre-vulnerability-for/ta-p/53703) doesn't work. But I think that the version for the P6687 model is 207, not 208.

I'm going to tell what happened. As you know, version 207 of the bios is incompatible with Linux and that is why I got version 209, but when I installed it, the computer stops detecting the audio devices and the graphics card (which in my case is an MX150). I've tried installing both clean Linux and Windows and they don't work.

You arte sure you have the same version Windows installed as at the time the Biosfile was published?

Your battery is at least 50% charged, and power supply is attached? Start the update with rightclick as an admin.

This I do not know exactly. It depends on which date you bought your PC, and the date of when the Bios was published.

Similar PCs with the naming P6687 were sold wit Win 10; so I think your Win 10 is oK.

I just gave you some general rules.
