Hi,

Is there a BIOS update available for Medion Akoya S14409 MSN: 30033486?

I set keyboard backlight to 30 seconds timer in bios instead of always on as default. But when I start typing, there is delay for several seconds until backlight is activated.. maybe a newer bios update can fix this? I will of course update on my own risk.

If there is a new Update you can find through the Device Manager -- > Firmware. --> Systenfirmware -> Update Diriver

Its funny. No idea about a PC - but longing (lusting) for the newest bios!

Are there problems with your Laptop?

I know about PC’s, I just wanted to make sure you are not joking you actually meant device manager in windows. Because I can guarantee Medion does not provide BIOS updates through windows update. I’m asking to receive a bios file to flash manually.

Off course Medion distributes BiosUpdates through Windows Updates as well I do think even the updates within Device Manager make use of Windows Updates. How else the update file comes onto your pc?

There is no actual bios file to download by yourself yet..

I can confess, that the latest Bios version for this machine ist MH.12 from 09/2023 and identical with the one, you are currently running.

Ok, thank you. Is it correct that BIOS updates are distributed with windows updates for this laptop? Or must be manually flashed?

It's a nuisance to ask the same questions over and over again.

As I told you in post 2 and post 6 already, Bios Updates will and should be distributed by Windows update for all newer Medion PCs.

The bad thing is, very often those updates come quite late, and with some models not at all.

Forgotten , or Windws update takes too long for distribution.

a bit time delay is normal but we can surely forward your request to the manufacturer in case they´re planning to provide a further update, somewhen in the near future
It´s always good to check for further Windows online updates, but if we receive somthing similar, we will let you know.
