under vista :
Go to "Connect to the Internet" in the "Welcome Center." enter the data for registration with the router there.

or via Control Panel/ Network and Sharing Center/ Set up a connection or network, enter all the data there
(the router network to be connected must be active)
Then don't forget to activate the WLAN via the quick start button.
Note the device is a bit older and the WLAN card (802.11 a/b/g) is correspondingly slow. theoretically 54Mbit/s, practically not even half that.
