well having got the battery part number for

Battery Supplier

Medion P6645 MD63270

MSN 30026762

ordered from Medion beginning of July chased last Friday email reply today due to a customs issue it was returned to Germany and they apparently are raising a refund doesn’t help me to fix laptop that is 1 month over the three years warranty will not be buying anymore of their products in future.

any other solutions/suggestions would be appreciated.

I´m a little bit confused about this issue...

According to the specs of your MD 63270, the battery is permanently installed and not exchangeable. In this case, the battery has the same 36-months warranty period as the Notebook. But:

In case the battery is exchangelable (contrary to the information in the data sheet), the battery has only a limited warranty period of 6 months... so please enlighten me as to what applies here.
