Medion E6239 MD98844 won't boot.

When I try to start the laptop, the HDD and WLAN lights come on, I hear the fan go on/off, then the HDD light goes off, the HDD can still be heard rotating, and that's it.

The first few times it did this, I could shut it down by holding the start button down for 4 seconds, then try again and it would start. Now, nothing. No beeps, no display.

I've tried the HDD in a caddy and it seems to be ok as I can access files.

All suggestions up to and including throw it off a cliff would be most welcome.

I am sorry to hear of your issues with your unit. This does seem to be a power issue that could be linked to the power supply, battery or the system board itself. Have you tried using a different power supply to power your unit and does this make any difference?

If this does not fix the problem then this could be a problem with the battery or the system board. In this case I would advise you call Medion Technical support on 0333 321 3106 to see if they can assist further and possibly book your unit in for a free assessment.
