Medion Akoya E14410

I want to upgrade ssd (i just have 128gb) and ram memory.

Just checked with a few programs (CPU Z) and show the laptop have 2 slots for ram, one slots are occupated with 4gb and one free.

I want to know, what type of ssd are compatible and where are the ram (both slots located

Sorry, but your E14410 only has one ram slot; equipped with 4 GB. Maximum the database says is 32 GB.

--> 1x 4096 MB DDR4 SO-DIMM (PC4-21300 / 2666 MHz) (1/1 covered; 32 GB max.)

It's a bit funny, ussually the slots in those smaller NBs only have a capacity of 16 GB max. May be there is a print error.

Your SSD is a 128 GB with SATA III (6 GB/s) interface. This you can replace with any SSD in 2.5" format. At least it should manage a 512 GB SSD. Check the thicknes before buying a new one. But with 7 mm it is oK.

It takes some time before a mod has given approval to your picture and it can be seen by other users. If it contains the serial numer as well, it will not be approved.

So just post the MSN of your PC here.

I open the laptop, and post picture with ssd, just to confirm or infirm thats the ssd.

You don't have to open the laptop.

The disk management tells which disk is installed. In the database it is listed as a 128 GB SSD.

And with msinfo32 , HW-info or CPU-Z it should tell the number of slots.

It's definitely not a 2,5" Notebook SSD, but a M.2 SSD. There must be a wrong database entry. Which protocol I can't tell just by the looks of it.

Maybe the RAM entry is not correct as well.

Edit:

But checkíng the backside of the socket with the contact wires seen, it is a good assumption to think it is a B-Key socket, which means most probably the mounted M.2 SSD is a SATA M.2.

Funny is, in your picture the mounting place looks like a cradle for a 2.5" Notebook disk; but equipped with an adapter for M.2 SSDs; so only M.2 SSDs (SATA) will fit.

@Andi , could you please be so kind to check this matter, and correct the given information concerning the SSD?

I have once inquired with our technical department regarding the technical data. I received the information that the device has only one RAM slot. However, this can be equipped with up to 32 GB. The SSD is not a 2.5" variant, but an M.2 SSD. Only SATA M.2 SSDs with up to 256 GB are supported. The information in our database will be corrected.

Wichtig ist die Ergänzung der Begrenzung auf 256 GB für die SSD. Aber ist es vielleicht so, wie bei manchen anderen Modellen auch, dass nur die 256 GB getestet sind, aber über Try und Error zeigen könnte, dass auch eine 500 GB M2 funktioniert?

the probability is high that you have 512GB can naue. you have a:

the sister model is almost identical and has the same board and cpu but SSD M.2 512GB SATA

MEDION AKOYA E14409 (MD 62331)

BB JP E14409 SF40IL6 MD gr/bk w/o LTE

SSD (M.2) (2280) Sata; 512 GB

order the 512GB, what happens in the worst case? you have to exchange them 😎

You also have screws on the legs of the laptop, peel them slowly with something sharp, then you can put them back without any worries

I got used to accepting the noise of fan. But I can't adapt with the sound quality of the speakers. Nokia n95 sound better :)))
