md35273 BIOS update B660H7-M20 motherboard

Hi guys. I've got a md35273 (MSN 10024677) with MB B660H7-M20 and B660H7W0X.107 BIOS. Tried to update it to 2.12. Downloaded the BIOS from the link on this page https://community.medion.com/t5/FAQs/How-do-I-optimize-the-stability-of-my-desktop-PC-with-an-Intel/ta-p/173519 and followed the installation instructions. After running the CMD as Admin and entering the command "UpdateBIOS.bat" all I have is this

And the update doesn't start.

Any ideas how to solve the problem? BTW checked the VMD controller option in BIOS before flashing - it's ON. If I turn it off, the system doesn't boot (BSOD)

Did you expand the " 00_Bios_b660h7-m20_v2.zip " in an own new folder? Are all files expanded to the folder Bios 112? Otherwise it can't work. But I do think you have to ask @Major_ToM .

Actually the line under the first entry -> fail:

-> C:\Users\andr3\Downloads\ Bios112> AFUWINx64.EXE B660H7W0X.cap /p /b /n /q /capsule

should have done the job.

due to an IT outage we unfortunately do not have the opportunity to special replicate this case, but I´ll doublecheck, when the data is available again...

Do you have any anti virus application running on the machine, which might prevent the update from beeing executed correctly?

I want to join the chat, because I have the same problem. I'm currently on Version 112 and want to update to the latest 212 Version. But the Update shows the same error as listed by andr3y.

I even tried to "enable Bios Update" in the .log (or was it .123) file.

Hi @andr3y & @MHDude ,

I´ve doublechecked project details of the system and found out, that with a currently installed version V 1.07 you don´t have to use version 2.12, but version 1.12, which can be downloaded under this link.

In this case, the installation should work under the Windows interface after having extracted the .zip file & using the “Install” context menu of the B660H7W0X.inf file.

Feel free to leave a feedback if it worked out for you.

Ich denke mir die meisten User sind noch auf V. 1.07, damit sollte die Empfehlung für das Board ECS B660H7-M20 die Version 2.12 zu installieren ersetzt werden durch die Empfehlung zur V. 1.12; oder zumindest nach Vorversion differenziert werden (falls es überhaupt Boards mit anderer Vorversion gibt)

I guess the 2.12 is just a misprint. Otherwise it would be quite an illogical numbering of updates. But you never know.

You hit it, There are different mainboard revisions in use which require different Bios version. So for your revision the V 1.12 is the latest and recent Bios Version.

Hi @Major_ToM Still no luck for me. I get an installation error from Windows stating "The certificate chain was processed, but processing was stopped at the root certificate because there is no trust relationship with the trust provider."

did you read my message #12 and which version did you install on your latest shot? V 1.12 or V 2.12?
Bios version V 2.12 is not compatible to mainboard with V 1.xx Bios versions.
